Description
Jenna's husband announces after six years that he has found someone else and that he was never really happy with her. Jenna collapses and, at thirty-five, retreats to her childhood room at her parents' house. After six months of hiding from the world, her grandmother Evelyn convinces her to take a trip to her hometown of Hereford, Massachusetts. On the way, she begins to tell Jenna the story of her first love for Tony, a Portuguese from a fishing family. Evelyn was energetic and headstrong as a girl.
