Description

LADIES IN DISTRESS ENTRAP JAKUB JELÍNEK FROM HIRŠBERG IN A NEW CASE...

Spring of 1598. Knight Jakub Jelínek from Hiršberg is asked to accompany a certain charming widow and her equally charming daughter to Brandýs and ensure their safety there. The purpose of their stay is unclear, but there are speculations that secret negotiations are taking place in Brandýs between courtiers of Rudolf II and English diplomats.

In such a case, the lives of the participants would be in danger. The Spaniards cannot allow a rapprochement between Rudolf II and Queen Elizabeth of England, and they will do everything to prevent it. However, Jakub Jelínek is not worried for now. He expects to spend the next few weeks idling in sun-drenched forest clearings, and in the best case, engaging in romantic entanglements.

However, he is mistaken. Everything is heading towards an inevitable climax. The originally peaceful stay in the Brandýs forests turns into a nightmare and eventually into a fight for survival.
