THE COAST OF THE FAROE ISLANDS IS UNEASY ONCE AGAIN... A group of activists against whaling arrives in the Faroe Islands, and the tension between the locals and the protesters is palpable. Just a few hours after a particularly sharp altercation, a woman's body is discovered, and the circumstances of the murder suggest that someone is trying to deepen the divide between the two camps even further. Police officer Hjalti Hentze begins the investigation, but the situation quickly complicates as suspicion falls on his son-in-law. It seems that there are darker motives hidden behind the murder, and a key piece of evidence is missing. Meanwhile, British inspector Jan Reyna is trying to learn more about his mother's past, but like Hentze, he encounters one obstacle after another. Neither of them knows whom they can trust or how far some people are willing to go in the name of their beliefs...
