Description
Hal and Uncle Nat set off on their fourth adventure. It’s Easter break, and Uncle Nat receives an unexpected letter from his old friend, Baron Esenbach, asking him to investigate the strange death of a member of an ancient noble family that occurred in a deep, dark gorge near the family estate at the foot of a mountain where, according to legend, witches have gathered since time immemorial. The family has been haunted by a dangerous curse for over a century, and it’s possible that another member will soon fall victim to its curse. A funeral train departs from the castle towards the mourning ceremony, which will take place at the Witch Mountain. They must pass through the gorge where Count Alexander met his death. Hal does not believe in curses, but there is a strange tension in the air that fills everyone around with an inexplicable fear. Will Hal get to the bottom of it, or will the curse triumph over him as well?
