Description
Police psychologist Sebastian Bergman has come to terms with the idea that his days in the homicide department are numbered, and he has returned to lecturing and writing. But not for long... Bergman's daughter Vanja has moved out of Stockholm and found temporary employment as a detective in Uppsala, where she is currently investigating a series of rapes. The perpetrator attacks women from behind — injecting them with anesthetic and placing a burlap sack over their heads. When one of the victims dies, the State Commission for Murder Investigation is called in — and shortly thereafter, so is Sebastian Bergman. The fractured team must set aside personal problems and disagreements and attempt to apprehend the brutal assailant. The investigators manage to determine that the victims are not chosen at random. But what connects them?
