Marta Veselá Jirousová bears witness to herself and the world around her through "spiritual botany." She draws inspiration from My Friends by Jakub Deml, finding the essence for each poem in Scripture. A certain Eastern master was said to be preparing to teach, but instead showed a flower and then said nothing at all. Those who wanted to understand did. The poetess (born 1981) came into the world in an artistically inclined family. She spent her childhood in Stará Říše, studied Czech language and art education at Pdf UP, and works at an elementary school. She has published poetry collections Children of the Rain (2013), A Walk with an Angel (2007), and a children's book Five Houses (2016).
