Description

In one of Stockholm's parks, the body of a battered beggar with amputated fingers on both hands and feet is found. It looks like a tragic death of a homeless person, but pathologist Fredrika Nyman cannot shake the feeling that something is wrong with the deceased, and therefore she contacts Mikael Blomkvist. The case piques Mikael's interest because the beggar reportedly mumbled something about Swedish Minister of Defense Johannes Forsell several times. Were these just the ramblings of a paranoid madman, or did he really have some information about the government? Mikael asks for help from Lisbeth Salander. However, after Holger Palmgren's funeral, she has left Sweden and is not in touch. No one suspects that she is staying in Moscow to finally deal with her sister Kamila. She has decided: she no longer wants to be the hunted prey. Now she will become the predator herself.
