Záměstí – Němec Pavel (2018)

A poem written over fifteen years. / I leave it as it is, / so I can ride after it..." What once kept the author awake is now the happiness of the reader. Here we have a proverbial "discovery," an original and down-to-earth debut, a mature work from someone who knew how to wait and managed without obligatory publication in literary journals. Pavel Němec (born 1981 in Moscow) grew up in a Czech-Russian household in Ústí nad Labem, studied computer science in Brno and Plzeň, and deserted his studies for the world of lifestyle magazines; he now works for TV Prima as an acquisition dramaturg for documentaries. He is a member of the underground band Umbrtka. He lives in Prague.
