The Chronicle of a Private Apocalypse. The Bumblebee has been in the world for almost ten years, yet it still hasn't quite settled in. Perhaps it's the environment made of the grayness of housing estates, perhaps it's the people who are stuck in the shallows of their dreams. Be that as it may, the world according to the Bumblebee is heading towards its end, and it's just a matter of enduring the mindless boredom that is called life. However, one surprising encounter fundamentally changes Bumblebee's life. Dog Pocem, abused in the basement by a deranged neighbor, would surely perish soon if the boy didn't take pity on him. But to save him, he must adopt some new traits that adults have. He will have to learn to be silent, to look away, to pretend, to steal, to lie — all for his new friend. And something more. This is when it turns out that only human flesh can keep Pocem alive. The alliance of the not-dead animal with the wild imagination of a gifted child soon transcends the realm of ordinary friendship between a boy and a dog and becomes an unexpected threat to their immediate surroundings.
