Please accept the invitation to take a walk through an interesting discipline that undoubtedly placed our flagship carrier among the leading airlines in the world. The story largely unfolds during the complicated era of communist totalitarianism. We could fly abroad, but on the other hand, we encountered many unjust—and from today’s perspective, completely unacceptable—methods of the StB and communist party authorities. It is human nature to forget unpleasantness and instead remember the pleasant, romantic, cheerful, and positive experiences—and that is precisely what Mirek and I wanted to attempt. The beginning of the narrative primarily captures Mirek's experiences, but unfortunately, they are poorly documented photographically. Flying on the 62s is a shared experience, as I also spent a wonderful thirteen years on them, starting in '79. The subsequent period of Airbus was aided by Ing. Ota Kolín, who flew on it from the beginning in 1991 until 2008. Thanks to several friends and acquaintances, the experiences are brought to life with photographs, reminding us of many wonderful people.
