Description
This Czech-language concertina board book follows the history of ČSA, one of the world’s oldest airlines, from its first era as the Czechoslovak State Airlines until 1939, through its post-war period as Czechoslovak Airlines, to its final era as Czech Airlines from 1995. As the airline celebrates a hundred years of existence, pilot and later captain Štěpán Kolomazník recalls important moments in its development alongside his own experiences flying routes to nearby and increasingly distant destinations from 1994 onward. In 2014, he moved to the long-haul Airbus A330 operated by the major East Asian airline Korean Air and began travelling around the world. Although the settings differ, flying is similar everywhere, and anyone who falls under the spell of flying machines will always look forward to the next flight and to returning to the blue depths high above the clouds, where they feel at home.
