Description
Jaroslav Tomčík’s life is exceptionally complex, full of twists and turns, and marked by a winding path. He begins as a teacher in a small village in eastern Moravia, passes through the battlefields of the Second World War, and then spends many years in Great Britain as an officer in the Czechoslovak foreign army, close to the leading political and military figures of the Czechoslovak exile in London. He later experiences post-war Czechoslovakia from every side, from Prague Castle to the prisons in Pankrác and Leopoldov. The contents are in Czech.
