Description
The book discusses the relatively unknown deployment of Soviet military air forces in the Korean War (1950–1953). There is little solid information, and moreover, this period in the world is overshadowed by a strong layer of primarily American propaganda, which has painted many of these events over time in a rosy light. Not that Soviet or contemporary Russian propaganda couldn't do the same, often the opposite, but a significant factor here was the element of secrecy. In Russia, the curtain over events related to the Korean War began to lift only in the early 1990s, by which time the Americans had a forty-year head start.
