Pod svícnem tma: Historie partyzánské skupiny z Velké Bystřice – Jirák Petr (2020)

The history of the partisan group from Velká Bystřice. In the vicinity of Přerov, several events took place in May 1944 and early 1945 related to the history of a partisan group that had its center in the Olomouc region (in Velká Bystřice). Due to imperfect post-war verifications of the partisan movement, the group was not recognized as independent, but rather as (the most important) part of a kind of amalgamation that was named Nikolajčik - Typner - Sever. After the publication of a study on the Přerov events from May 1944, Petr Jirák became more interested in the overall history of this not very well-known group, about which a number of articles and partial studies had been published, but only with a regional reach. The publication maps the entire history of the group, including the time when it was "only" a resistance group, not directly a partisan one. The greatest attention is paid to the dramatic and tragic events of April and May 1944, the partisan activities at the turn of 1944 and 1945, and the group's liquidation at the end of February 1945. The interest also extends to the Olomouc Gestapo agents, Czech collaborators, post-war verifications of partisan activities, and much more.
