Description
The Callender siblings, members of the Hitchhiker's Club, do not believe everything they are told; they want to see it with their own eyes, are very curious, and have a great sense of adventure. The Hitchhiker's Club must attend a lecture about Ramses II. All the kids are already bored and not looking forward to the lecture at all. However, Laurie tells the siblings that there will be a demonstration of shooting with Ramses' bow at the lecture. This excites everyone. The lecture is led by Dr. Fisher, who shares many interesting facts. The best part is the shooting demonstration. A little girl named Daisy, Dr. Fisher's daughter, shoots from the bow. The Hitchhikers are thrilled by her and want to learn to shoot as well. Daisy actually teaches all the kids how to shoot, and they accept her into the Hitchhikers. Surprisingly, the best of them all is five-year-old Elizabeth, who can hit the target. Together with Dr. Fisher and Daisy, the kids explore an exhibition at the Cairo Museum, which also features an exact replica of the Abu Simbel temple. Just as the kids are admiring it, an alarm goes off. There has been a theft at the museum! Someone has stolen the original bow that Daisy uses to shoot. The Hitchhikers find a tied-up janitor, whose clothes the mysterious thief borrowed to enter the museum. Will they manage to catch him? Will they not be trapped in the replica...
