Description
One of the most beautiful prayers in the Bible is the Magnificat – the canticle 'My soul magnifies the Lord.' According to Luke's account (Lk 1:46–55), Mary sang it before the birth of her son during a visit to her relative Elizabeth. The Western Church has included it in the evening prayers – Vespers – while the Eastern Church prays it in the morning. Jaroslav Brož's book reveals the depth and simple beauty of this prayer.
