Description

It is the year 1923, and Kit Scott, a young Australian woman from the upper class, arrives in London to fulfill her dream of a star-studded acting career. She manages to land a role in a popular musical, where her partner becomes Zeke Gardiner, a Canadian actor with a similar dream, and soon she plunges headfirst into the life of the vibrant London theater company led by Fred Astaire and his brilliant sister Adele. However, when the front pages of tabloid newspapers are filled with photographs capturing her in a wild dance with the Prince of Wales, she suddenly becomes the central figure of a major scandal. In an effort to distance the prince from her, his people present the newspapers with a story claiming that her true partner was Lord Henry Carleton, a hedonistic aristocrat with a genuine interest in the young actress. The 1920s are rightly called the 'Roaring Twenties,' and Kit and Zeke face many temptations—and must make decisions that will forever change the course of their lives.
