What will you encounter when you decide to travel across Africa in a half-broken pink bus? We are Marika and David, and we set off to Africa to film a series. The idea to embark on an adventurous journey came up spontaneously one evening over a beer. Long months of organizing, calling, packing, and testing how much our nerves could withstand passed since the initial excitement. In the end, we managed it, and we stood on the African continent for the first time. The book describes our story and the everyday feelings and experiences that the camera did not capture. About realizing a crazy plan, traveling in an old bus, about the love of discovery. About what it’s like to be thrown into the lazily flowing river of African time as a hurried European. About the beauties and difficulties at every turn, about the craziness of living together in a few square meters, about how we are scared and nothing works, but mainly that it’s fun.
