The new publications Reading Comprehension 1 – English for Primary Schools and Multi-Year Gymnasiums (English) are graphically attractive workbooks that can be used as supplementary material for teaching English. They contain various types of texts relevant to the given age category, set in the context of English-speaking countries. In accordance with the RVP ZV, the concept of the workbook combines elements of a workbook, an English reader, and foreign language educational magazines. As a publication, it aims to offer comprehensive lessons that develop grammar, reading, and vocabulary for the respective grade, thus saving teachers time spent on preparation and copying individual supplementary materials. The chapters of the workbook chronologically map the curriculum of the respective grade, and the difficulty of the texts naturally increases with the number of pages.
