This paperback presents the Labour Code as amended by the so-called flexibility amendment, effective from 1 June 2025. It explains major changes affecting employment law, including the probationary period, exceptions to restrictions on fixed-term employment, protection of an employee’s original job and workplace when returning from parental leave before the child reaches the age of two, changes to the notice period and its calculation, different notice periods according to the reason for termination, the consolidation of grounds for termination due to long-term incapacity to perform the current work, changes to severance pay in connection with occupational injuries or diseases, and the introduction of a new category of young employees under 15 who have not yet completed compulsory schooling, together with special conditions for their dependent work. This 23rd updated edition contains the currently valid wording of the Labour Code as of the amendment’s effective date. Its commentary highlights the changes introduced by the flexibility amendment and briefly presents practical experience with selected provisions, including relevant current case law.
