Description
The diary of politician, lawyer, and university lecturer in the field of European Union law Pavel Svoboda was created during the author's five-year tenure in the European Parliament and was later supplemented with excerpts from contemporary blogs and articles, as well as photographic material. A glimpse into the colorful everyday reality of the European Parliament's functioning, snippets from its backstage, insightful commentary on events, insights into the dilemmas faced by European politicians in their decision-making, and even into personal life – all of this makes this text authentic, open, yet readable and humorous. Music-loving readers may be surprised that this widely recognized Czech politician is a passionate musician and, among other things, the creator of the largest collection of Czech and Moravian carols.
