Description
A small child needs time to learn to control urination and defecation. Parents' impatience, disrespect for the individual maturation of their child, and a rushed upbringing towards 'dry' nights can backfire with stress. Another source of stress can be family conflicts or emotional neglect. In such a stressed child, enuresis and encopresis can develop with all the consequences, bringing further discomfort into the lives of the entire family. Parents feel ashamed of the problems associated with enuresis and encopresis and often do not address them for a long time - this only leads to increased stress. Therefore, the aim of this publication is to timely and appropriately highlight the possibilities of preventing these issues in an accessible manner. The text will also be useful for novice educators, caregivers, as well as pediatricians and nurses who introduce these issues to parents.
