The third, significantly revised edition of INTERNAL MEDICINE aims to reflect the changes that have occurred since the publication of the first and second editions. On one hand, these are changes that correspond to the dramatic and rapid development of diagnostics and treatment in internal medicine itself and in the fields that have emerged from it, which are now more or less independent. On the other hand, there are changes in both undergraduate education and, especially today, in postgraduate education. The internal medicine core is followed by 20 specialties. And although the presented book does not claim to be a universal textbook for the core exam, it can serve as a foundation for study. This revised edition of internal medicine for students and doctors in the 'internal core' is again primarily focused on practical aspects. The authors provide concise and understandable current, practice-oriented information about the clinical picture, diagnostics, and treatment of internal diseases. The repetition of pathophysiological aspects of diseases is kept to a minimum necessary for understanding clinical manifestations and treatment. The monograph covers the entire spectrum of diseases across all internal specialties in basic scope.
