Description
The final part of the autobiographical trilogy loosely follows the two previous volumes. The psychotic illness, which includes depression, mania, and panic anxiety, affects all areas of the author's life: she describes her studies at another university, the course of her psychotherapy, living with her partner and her dog Baryk, relationships with her parents, psychologists, psychiatrists, friends, and acquaintances, as well as with the mysterious Mr. Doctor, who has accompanied her throughout her life for many years. As the subtitle suggests, the author returned to work after years on disability, taking on several roles: peer consultant, expert on destigmatization, and confidante for patients at a psychiatric hospital. The diary-like character of the book and the courage to open the thirteenth chamber enhance the authenticity of the text and allow a glimpse into the very depths of the author's soul. Judge for yourself how successful she was.
