Kaledonský gambit – Moren Dan (2019)

An intergalactic cold war, the political and military rivalry of superpowers, the invention of a secret weapon that could disrupt the fragile balance and possibly destroy the entire world. And amidst all this, the anti-hero Eli Brody, who gets caught up in the machinery of political struggles and high-stakes espionage. After many years spent as a toilet cleaner on a distant planet, he returns to his home Caledonia, but what he left behind nine years ago is no longer waiting for him. Just like in a chess game, a gambit requires sacrifices, and Eli Brody will have to overcome and sacrifice much before the game is played to the end. The Caledonian Gambit is a classic sci-fi story with elements of a spy thriller, spiced with a good dose of dry humor.
