Description
This Czech-language book presents Zana Ramadani’s view that Islam does not belong in Germany, while Muslims belong there only if they adapt to German society. She argues that this cannot happen as long as outdated rules of premodern religion are applied to today’s Western world and Muslim mothers pass on values hostile towards women to their children. As the daughter of a Muslim immigrant family, the author addresses the subject with unusual directness. She claims that women rule Muslim families, raising their daughters to become people without their own will and their sons as spoiled machos; because these pampered men, shaped by their upbringing, do not succeed in life, they grow into future radicals. Ramadani calls for an open confrontation with the issue and states clearly that integration cannot succeed without the cooperation of Muslim mothers.
