Description
Little Mary Lennox, raised by servants in India and completely abandoned after a cholera epidemic, is sent to England to live with her uncle, whom she has never seen, in his empty estate. The gardens surrounding the vast property are her only refuge. There, locked behind a wall, she discovers the Secret Garden. The spoiled and self-centered girl realizes that the world does not revolve around her. She begins to take care of the neglected garden, and along with it, both Mary and her cousin Colin, a frail boy who waits for death locked in his room, heal and blossom. The Secret Garden is an inspiring story that conveys the message of the necessity to recognize the value of nature and human closeness.
