Description
This Czech-language collection asks whether society is truly on the way towards a lack of education and whether the decline in the level of pupils’ education is already tangible and measurable. It argues that the Czech education system is moving towards illiteracy, an inability to master basic mathematical skills and a failure to understand important natural laws, while also abandoning a well-developed system of social-science teaching. The author acknowledges that this is a sharp and disputable view, but calls for a debate about how, where and in what direction to seek remedies for the current state of Czech education and the Czech school system in general.
