A little boy misses his cat Mourek, who has been gone for several days. Together with his father, he sets out to look for him. They search everywhere, but Mourek is nowhere to be found. What if someone ran him over? Could he be dead? What happens when someone dies? This picture book explores bonds, love, loss and grief, and coming to terms with the fact that death touches us all. The illustrations by acclaimed artist Ragnar Aaalbu resemble grainy old photographs and create a restrained yet exceptionally poetic visual language. This story about searching for a cat, with a happy ending, introduces young readers to the difficult themes of loss and the finality of life in a gentle and humorous way. The contents are in Czech.
