This Czech-language book explores the spiritual richness of the České středohoří highlands through original means, tracing the marks left there by people from ancient times to the present. Archaeology gradually uncovers evidence of ancient sacredness, while history sheds clearer light on the historical and spiritual events that remain a lasting part of this beautiful landscape. The region was also home to important poets and painters whose work left its mark on the area around the City of the Moon. The book also contains unusual legends created specifically for this volume, as well as virtually unknown illustrations by Jan Konůpek for the Kralice Bible.
