Expedice badatele Věnceslava Brábka 1 do Svrchní Křídy pod Černými lesy – Sovák Jan (2019)

Could dinosaurs get used to the presence of humans? Today we know they were more intelligent than previously thought. A mysterious box discovered in the basement of the National Museum in Prague helped us glimpse the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs. Inside were diaries, a bundle of letters, as well as a camera and other necessary items belonging to the researcher Věnceslav Brábek from the early 20th century. It turned out that the brave man traveled through time with the help of a time centrifuge. His first trip took him to the Late Cretaceous period 70 million years ago. In his notes, we read about scientific research as well as everyday worries about shelter, food, and survival. Brábek soon realizes that surviving in a time full of predators is not easy. To his surprise, he gains extraordinary companions, with whom his stay in the prehistoric era changes day by day. He carefully records everything, draws, takes photographs, and even solves the technical problem of how to send letters home to his beloved Aurelia. When a volcano erupts near his dwelling, Brábek returns home but leaves a piece of his heart in the prehistoric past. It is amazing that everything has been preserved, allowing us to experience many adventures with the fearless researcher.
