Description
This winter refuses to end. Both animals and people are hungry, yet everything is still covered by a chilling blanket of snow. The Indians therefore pack their camp and head south towards the herds of bison. Despite the fact that the trackers discover the tracks of a large herd, an unexpected storm prevents the hunters from catching the animals, and by the time it passes, it is too late. The bison have mysteriously vanished, and before the eyes of the searchers lies only an endless desert that offers no hope of finding food. Where experienced hunters have failed, little Yakari will succeed not only thanks to a prophetic dream and the help of the Great Eagle and Little Lightning, but mainly due to his courage.
