Description
The diaries of Astrid Lindgren were published for the first time last year in Sweden and immediately became a sensation. The text is overflowing with deep sadness and fear, yet it also presents the famous children's book author as a convinced humanist who boldly, with humor and love, stands by her opinions. Her diary serves as both a commentary on contemporary events and a personal record of how dramatic world events affect the lives of us all. The book is richly illustrated with photographs of diary pages and a number of previously unpublished snapshots from family life.
