Description
A young writer is searching for a new theme in the countryside. He is literally captivated by an old man from a nearby hermitage. However, he has no idea what a horrific secret the forgotten Kordin hides. Writer Vítek Holý sets out to the countryside, where he wants to draw inspiration for his next writing. When he once sees the old man passing by, for some strange reason, he is literally enchanted by him. The old man is named Kordin, he is one of the oldest people in the area, and he lives in solitude between a field and a forest, in a house where everything is decaying, deteriorating, and aging, just like Kordin himself. Occasionally during the day, he talks to his eight-year-old granddaughter, who is the only warm contact he maintains with people, but at night he sits by the fireplace and fears nightmares. From the very first moment, Vítek feels that Kordin carries some ancient and dark secret within him, and he decides to uncover it and embody it in his new book. However, he has no idea what a terrible secret it will be and what great danger awaits him when he reveals it. Meanwhile, the forgotten Kordin slowly begins to sense that retribution for his past earthly deeds is approaching – and that it may catch up with him even after death. The question is whether he will take Vítek Holý with him to the final judgment...
