Description
A multi-layered poetic text loosely referencing the classic work of Dante Alighieri, in which modern to experimental poetics of free verse blend with traditional formal literary techniques of classic verse structure. The text employs rich expressive means with often surprising thematic and linguistic interactions and parallels between the past and the present. It is characterized by a mature philosophical perspective, with the tone of the text oscillating in an imaginatively surreal (surrealistic) realm, permeated by realistic motifs and images of significant issues in the contemporary world. The entire text is marked by the intertwining of the personal-intimate and the universal: from intensely experienced love to eternal themes of beauty, the disorientation of modern life, the limitations of human possibilities, war and suffering, to the relativization of values against the backdrop of the development of science and technology. Just like in Dante's work, the theme of pure, eternal, and unfulfilled love runs throughout the text and culminates in it.
