An anthology from the literary work of Radomil Uhlíř (April 10, 1957 - April 15, 2019), an actor, director, musician, painter, playwright, and also a bohemian and writer. The surprisingly extensive and original literary legacy that emerged after Radomil's death, of which only a very small circle of his friends had any inkling, includes previously unpublished short stories, poems, letters, screenplays, and other literary forms. The book presents a selection of texts primarily from the 1990s and is supplemented by an extensive photographic appendix. Radomil Uhlíř was a distinctive and unmistakable figure in Czech nonconformist culture from the second half of the 1980s. His talent was first realized mainly in the theatrical environment within the so-called Prague 5 (Divadlo Sklep, Recitation Group Vpřed, etc.), further in the Dr. Nutt Theater or in joint improvisations with Jaroslav Dušek at the Vizita Theater. Alongside his theatrical activities, Radomil Uhlíř was involved in music on the edge of rock alternative – performing with the bands Dvouletá fáma and Ženy. In the mid-1990s, he founded the Kvartet Dr. Konopného, a completely original improvisational ensemble on the domestic music scene, of which he was the frontman and main creative force practically until the end of his life.
