Description

According to the biblical account, the universe arises from God and develops over individual time epochs, which are referred to as days in Bible translations. However, the original Hebrew word 'yom' carries a meaning much broader than just a twenty-four-hour day. 'Yom' represents a very long period of time that can also last millions of years. Therefore, the seven biblical days can easily be placed within modern scientific theories about the creation of the universe over long time periods. However, this is not the main topic of this book. The book presents the biblical creation of the world as a story that touches each of us. It utilizes the mystical richness of the Hebrew language, as well as simple analogies from ordinary life. Reflections on the first biblical sentence aim to encourage and delight on the journey of life. At the end of the book, the author's translation of the biblical book 'Song of Songs' into Czech is included.
