A tribute to Prof. JUDr. Vladimír Sládeček, DrSc., is published on the occasion of the 70th birthday of this prominent Czech lawyer, emeritus judge of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, and professor at the law faculties of Charles University in Prague and Palacký University in Olomouc. Professor Sládeček has long been dedicated to the field of administrative law and administrative science, with a deep overlap into constitutional law. He is the author or co-author of fundamental textbooks in these fields as well as several commentaries. The book contains contributions from 50 authors, significant figures in Czech and Slovak legal theory and practice, not only in the fields of administrative and constitutional law but also from other areas. In their often unconventional contributions, the authors address topics related to Professor Sládeček's long-standing scientific interests, many of which focus on current issues of administrative law related to procedural practices in administrative proceedings. Many authors in the publication focus on the issue of judicial protection and the influences of jurisprudence.
