This Czech-language practical commentary on the Civil Procedure Code follows a long tradition of editions supplemented by concise explanations and case law, whose foundations were laid by JUDr. Josef Rubeš and developed by leading figures in Czech procedural law. The current edition, prepared under the direction of doc. JUDr. Dita Frintová, Ph.D., is written by a new team of academics, judges and attorneys. It responds to changes in the legal environment, including the growing amount of available information and the emergence of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence. Readers are offered clearly arranged, factually verified and systematically organised information to help them understand the Civil Procedure Code and its application in practice. The emphasis is on concision, clarity and carefully verified relevant case law. The book is intended as a reliable aid for legal practice, academia and law students at a time when the Civil Procedure Code is subject to numerous amendments and increasingly difficult interpretation. Although the text is closed as of 1 January 2026, the explanations also draw on the fundamental theoretical foundations of civil procedure, which remain relatively stable and provide an interpretive framework that can remain useful after future amendments.
