The monograph focuses on undesirable behavior in the workplace that infringes on the personal rights of employees, namely monitoring, protected reporting (whistleblowing), discrimination, and bullying. It is based on national and EU legislation, the international context of human rights conventions, and especially on the case law of Czech and European courts. ***** The author first defines the level of privacy that employees are legally guaranteed in the workplace and the options and limits that employers have when monitoring employees. ***** The new legislation on protected reporting provides whistleblowers, particularly employees in both the private and public sectors, with the opportunity to safely report within the mandatory internal or external mechanisms that must be established. ***** Furthermore, the author addresses the principle of equality and the prohibition of discrimination in labor law relationships, investigating whether the legal framework provides employees with sufficient protection against unequal or discriminatory behavior by employers and whether Section 10 of the Anti-Discrimination Act ensures real and effective legal protection in court proceedings. ***** The final part of the book is dedicated to the labor law aspects of workplace bullying, such as mobbing and bossing.
