Description
The publication is dedicated to the issue of equal treatment and the prohibition of discrimination in labor law relationships, not only from the perspective of Czech law but also international law and European Union law. The interpretation of the legal regulation is supplemented primarily by the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights, and the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. The publication defines terms such as direct and indirect discrimination, harassment, and sexual harassment, describes exceptions to the principle of equal treatment, and legal remedies for protection against discrimination. Individual chapters address the prohibition of discrimination in labor law relationships based on gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, race and ethnic origin, belief, and religious conviction, as well as the appearance of employees. The publication is intended for a broader legal and non-legal audience, especially judges and lawyers, but also employers and employees who are at risk of unequal treatment and discrimination.
