The publication analyzes the issue of equal treatment of women and men, proceeding clearly from the definition of terms through legislative regulation to measures taken to implement the principle of equal treatment of women and men in practice. Great attention is deserved by the state's attitude towards pregnant women and mothers of young children who are in the position of employees. Therefore, the monograph provides a comprehensive overview of legislative measures aimed at protecting health in dependent work and regulating working conditions for pregnant women and mothers. The analysis, synthesis, and comparison of European and national legislation were applied in addressing the issue. The publication as a whole captures the current perspective on the topic, which can stimulate thought processes in perceiving women as mothers in dependent work.
