Description
The monograph addresses the issue of termination of employment by the employer, which remains relevant in practical application. Given that the termination of employment affects the existential conditions of employees' lives, it has also become a subject of regulation in international labor law, the law of the Council of Europe, as well as the labor law of the European Union. The author analyzes individual fundamental human rights in connection with the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Court of Human Rights, and Slovak courts. She focuses on the right to respect for human dignity, the prohibition of slavery and forced labor, the right to private life and correspondence (communication), the right to freedom of assembly and association, the protection of personal data, and freedom of expression. Special attention is given to the prohibition of discrimination in labor relations. The monograph is primarily intended for judges and lawyers, employers and employees, as well as employee representatives. The book will certainly interest law students as inspiration for further legal education.
