Description
The monograph examines selected components of the international legal status of children in refugee situations. The focus of the analysis is on children seeking international protection together with parents, relatives, or adults, or without them. The book concentrates particularly on two of the most vulnerable groups: unaccompanied and separated children. It thoroughly analyzes their substantive and procedural status, especially the regulation of access to international protection proceedings, guardianship, legal advice and assistance, or personal interviews. Special attention is given to family reunification, the detention of children in refugee situations, and alternatives to detention.
