The popular, comprehensive, and clearly structured textbook on EU law of medium length is now in its seventh edition, updated and supplemented with the current issues of the European Union from the last few years, such as the withdrawal of a member state, the migration crisis, and budgetary and banking issues. After an introductory description of the historical context of the European integration process and an overview of the various foundational and amending treaties on which the European Union is based, the author gradually addresses the powers and organizational structure of the European Union, its legal system including the application of EU law in individual member states, the judicial system, and the interpretation of EU law.
