Description

The presented dictionary encompasses the language of German public administration with all its peculiarities. It addresses both the still predominant legal German and the colloquial language of administration, as well as concepts from the private economic sphere. The publication also records specifics arising from the federal structure of the Federal Republic of Germany. Regardless of how different the German and Czech administrative systems may be, one can anticipate linguistic adaptation in this area based on the penetration of European administrative law into national legal systems. European political programs require and promote cross-border cooperation. The dictionary aims to ensure that the boundaries of the relevant language do not limit cooperation. This publication is primarily intended to serve this purpose and to enable better and more accurate communication for all those dealing with this issue. The dictionary contains over 40,000 German terms and builds upon the Great Czech-German Dictionary for Public Administration, which was published in 2011 by Linde Praha.
