This book examines the information-related aspects of intellectual property law in the context of the recodification of Czech private law and from a practical perspective. Intellectual property is conceived in the new Civil Code in opposition to current trends presented by certain political groups, particularly Pirate parties, as illustrated by the International of Pirate Parties. The author distinguishes between managing intangible property values on the market, including the electronic services market, and dealing with them in private, while seeking ways out of seemingly opposing attitudes towards intellectual property. He also discusses alternative ways of making intellectual property available to the public, such as the use of open information resources. The book is intended for anyone interested in the new legal regulation of intellectual property and in different approaches to this phenomenon, which is difficult to name and define. It takes into account current research in the field and serves as a valuable aid for legal theory and practice.
