Oko hurikánu - Prohlédnutí iluzí – Nukunu (2016)

This Czech-language book uses the expression “the eye of the hurricane” as a metaphor for the state we must attain if we want to tear away the veil of illusions. The world perceived through our six senses, with thought as the sixth, is not reality but a screen concealing it. The real world does not change; it is always the same, and it is one with you and your innermost reality. It is true, blissful, pure and absolute consciousness. The world of illusion, by contrast, is constantly changing and in perpetual motion. Though it appears to exist, a closer look reveals nothing lasting: it is unstable and fleeting. Eastern philosophers call it maya, the great wall of reality. This illusory world is full of pain and suffering and creates a feeling of alienation and separation, while the real world remains hidden within it. As the saying “The hare has no horns” suggests, we must look deeper and break through the wall of maya. To do so, we must learn to distinguish illusion from reality, or “see with the heart”. This means experiencing life without labels or concepts. The author therefore speaks of “seeing with the heart”: the heart knows no words, only intimate closeness.
