Description
This Czech-language historical nonfiction book is dedicated to the young men who walked to Lombardy, Piedmont, France, Bavaria and Saxony, measuring the distance between the marshes of Pinsk and Leipzig, and between Vienna and Dijon. They laboured to exhaustion beside their cannons, while nobody knows their names or the places where they rest. The author reflects that many of them were his ancestors, just as he himself once did not know this.
