Description
Four longer stories by Vlasta Pittnerová describe the difficult lives of women in the village, which, after all, is not easy even today. The author shows the carelessness of some and the desire for a higher spiritual level in others. In her stories, she also writes about the sad fate of a widow with small children, or a woman rejected by society for personal failings, but at the same time, a testament to what a son's love can achieve. In all these stories, the author depicts with understanding the complexities of the lives of village women, whom she had the opportunity to observe for many years.
